Label Avocados - Morocco

Label B is an export-focused avocado operation of about 270 hectares in the Kenitra region, one of Morocco's main horticultural areas. It was a greenfield project upon investment in 2019 and was managed under the Old Mutual African Agricultural Fund (OMAAF) until 2026, whereupon it became an anchor asset under the Regenerative Capital (ReCa) Fund.

 

The orchards are planted with Hass and Maluma varieties and are now close to full production. The farm's main advantage is timing. Its harvest reaches European buyers early in the season, between December and March, when supply from competing regions is thin. Kenitra's climate and position also make it a competitive location compared with Southern Europe.

 

The orchards are run as a precision-farming operation. Drip irrigation and data-led crop management are built in from the start, and the focus now is on steady yields, evening out the natural alternate-bearing cycle and widening the export customer base.
